Things you need to know...

Employee Handbook
Provides information on policies and other documents that relate to benefits offered at WVUH. The Handbook also provides direction as to appropriate conduct while at work.

List of Emergency Codes
WVUH is concerned with the safety of its patients, visitors, and employees. An emergency code list has been developed to provide staff with an overview of the safety plan.

NetLearning
NetLearning is a Learning Management System (LMS) that tracks employee education, such as attendance for an instructor-led class or completion of an online course. The Student Interface is where employees complete their mandatory education, as well as manage their personal education schedule. These modules must be completed on work time and can be accessed from this site from the designated button on the left-hand side of the screen. Employee personal transcripts can be printed from this site.  Use the "how to" tipsheets below for help with specific topics. Double-click on the tipsheet you want to review to open it. Click on the house icon in the upper left toolbar to return to the portfolio of tipsheets.

Medical Terminology
If your new job requires you to know medical terminology, here is a
site at Des Moines University with a complete and self-contained free modern medical terminology course. It’s self-paced and online, and you are solely accountable for your standard of achievement. *Disclaimer: Des Moines University does not sponsor nor is affiliated with any external links referred to in this program. All program content is for educational use only. The information contained herein is not a substitute for medical care or the advice of your physician. Des Moines University does not offer any certification of completion for the web program.

Computer Based Learning is a terrific way to log some learning and development time on your own schedule and at your own pace! Some CBLs are mandatory and have an annual completion date of October 31st, but it's always a good idea to get them done as soon as possible. You may find there are CBLs that interest you that are not required. Those CBLs are voluntary and there’s no time limit for completion, so you can start it today and finish two months later.

Center for Education & Organizational Development (CEOD) Training Opportunities

The Center Education for Organizational Development offers free and some fee-for- training classes during the workday on a variety of timely topics.
