- Orientation Binder Template - An orientation binder is a practical reference tool for employees joining the department. This template contains basic information about policies and procedures, job descriptions, the department, and WVUH that may be modified to fit the express desires of the department.
- Department Letter - OPTIONAL-This is a welcome letter template from the supervisor to the new employee and may be sent to the employee before the onboarding process.

- STAR Initiatives: STAR is both the name and the goal of the customer service initiative that was launched in 2002 by WVUH, UHA, and the WVU departments at the Health Sciences Center. STAR originated from surveys given to 1,000 employees, as well as from feedback from focus groups and patient satisfaction surveys.
