Kim Bertha
Kimberley obtained her Bachelors degree from West Virginia School of Nursing in 1992. She has clinical teaching experience as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty for Waynesburg University in the Medical/Surgical Leadership and Pediatric clinical settings. She has an extensive background in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing at West Virginia University Hospitals where she has functioned as staff nurse and a clinical preceptor for new employees and students for the last 18 years. She is currently certified in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing through the National Certification Corporation. She is an ACLS and S.T.A.B.L.E instructor.  Additional nursing experience includes Public Health and Telephone Triage. She is currently pursuing her MSN at Waynesburg University with a focus in Nursing Education and she is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.

Lori received her BS in Community Health Education from Slippery Rock University in 1992. She is both a BLS and ACLS instructor for AHA. Lori also serves as the training center coordinator for WVUH.

 

Jennifer MackonjakJennifer Mackovjak MSN, RN-BC

Jennifer received her BSN from Waynesburg College in 1999 and her MSN in 2005. She has experience in medical-surgical and critical care nursing as a staff nurse, charge nurse, clinical instructor in the BSN program and professor in the MSN and RN to BSN program at Waynesburg University. She is an ACLS and BLS Instructor. She is an active member of the ANA/WVNA and serves as the co-chair of the WVNA approver unit.

Heather received her BSN from West Virginia University in 1998 and her MSN from Waynesburg University in 2006. She has 11 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing as a staff nurse, charge nurse, preceptor and new hire transition coordinator. Heather is an ACLS and BLS instructor.

Marie PatrickMaria Patrick RNC, MS, MSN
Education Specialist/Nurse Clinician

Maria obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1989, MS in Community Health Education in 1991, and a MSN in 2001 from West Virginia University. She is currently certified in Maternal /Newborn Nursing. Maria has been a nurse for 20 years with a focus in maternal/child nursing. Maria has experience as a staff nurse, assistant manager, manager, clinical coordinator, nursing school instructor, legal nurse consultant and a nurse educator. Maria is a BLS and NRP instructor.

Kimberley has been with Nursing Education since 2005. She is originally from California and is working on her Bachelor's degree in psychology from Liberty University. Her primary responsibilities include assisting the Nurse Educators. She is also responsible for helping with the American Heart Association classes.
